Some international users have changed their A-Z tabs according to the instructions given in the Readme file. Since you made the change to your previous version of Phonebook, your changes will be lost if you use the old version, and Phonebook will re-alphabetize your records according to the default settings. To prevent this, follow these steps.
The A-Z tab resource is now stored in the preference file (Phonebook Prefs) to prevent this problem in future releases. With ResEdit, open your preferences file (Phonebook Prefs, in your Preferences folder) and your old version of the Phonebook program. Double-click the STR# icon in the Phonebook program, select STR# 131 and choose Copy from the Edit menu. Select your Preferences file and choose Paste. Close the Phonebook program. Double-click the STR# icon in the Preferences file, select STR# 131, choose Get Info from the File menu, and change the number from 131 to 256. You can then quit and save changes.
